Almost home and a very challenging week

We are in HOng Kong!!!!!!! yeah!!! Well in less than 24 hours we will see how our Kole will behave for 14 hours in teh air! The 1 1/2 hour flight from Kunming was a nightmare! He did not want the seatbelt on so he kicked and screamed and spit! The ladies in front of us gave him some really nice smelling stuff in a bottle to play with and that kept him busy for, oh about 3 minutes.... Kole is a challenge, he will not answer to Kole or Xi Chun Xin. But bugger nose seems to work He loses some of his food out his nose due to a small hole still left to be repaired. The medical exam went great. The Consulate appointment was a non process and basically took all of 2 minutes once you got through the queue.
Kole will say " no hitting" and in the same breath hit us and laugh. He also can say "get out of my way" if you are in his way to go to the bathroom. He understands some of what we say, but insists on ignoring us. "VERY NAUGHTY BOY" At the train station in Hong Kong he would not walk and kept hitting us and laying on the floor. A nice Chinese man told Boyd to slug him one. The lady in front says "He not know you well". I told her yes, only 2 weeks. We adopted him. She said we were very kind to take such a bad boy. Our very awesome facilitator actaullly lost her temper with him.... It was a sight to see. Kole was seriuosly upset that he made her mad. Mary has been a God send to us. I don't think we could have kept our patience this long without her. Kole is all 4 year old boy. We celebrated with cake on Wednesday for his 4th birhtday. He does not know what a birthday is.. so he was a cheap birthday party. He does love chocolate.
The swan room at the White Swan is awesome! I met some of the most amazing people there! Kim and her son Caleb were just so awesome. I had a quick connection with their family.
The toys in the room are great and Kole loved going there and it gave me a break to sit and watch him play. But he would only play and share iwth the younger babies and girls. Boys, he stayed away from.
Mary watched Kole for us for a couple hours one day and we went for a foot massage that was 136 RMB at an 8 exchange rate for about $17 in the US for both of us and it lasted for 1 hour and 20 minutes. IT not only included a very nice foot soak while your back and shoulders and neck were massaged, but legs and feet with reflexology techniques. Man, I thought we would have to crawl back! IT was great! Boyd liked it so much that he went back for a second one.
We shopped until we dropped. We went to the Jade market and bargained for some jade bracelets. REally fun! The man wanted 750 RMB for 3 and I got him down to 350 RMB for all three with is about $40 for 3 jade and silver bracelets. I was pretty proud of myself.

Kole spent his time running off out into streets and laughing. In airports he wouldn't stay with us, so at one time I just kept walking and waved and said Zi Jian (Goodbye)... He came running.
It willl be interesting in Chicago how he does there. IT iwll be interesting without MAry to intervene for us and him.
Well, I willl update with pictures when we get home! It has been an interesting, challenging, and tiring trip this time.
