Whew! I think my favorite line was "Are we there Yet?" The flight from Chicago was about 14 1/2 hours and we were seated next to a high school or college kid that didn't seem to want to close the shade on the window. We had sun the entire flight! We arrived in Hong Kong at about 1:55 am Saturday US time. We were very bleary eyed. It is 14 hours ahead here. We were going to get adventurous and travel by train into Hong Kong and decided we will be having another 12 days of sigh seeing in China so today we are resting and just hanging out.
We will meet our little man around 4:00 PM China time on Sunday. We are so bad that we haven't even taken a picture yet! Well, it's an airport hotel, what can you expect. We leave here in less than 24 hours to go to Kunming. Oh and our luggage arrived with us! ta da!
Oh and we now know how those poor little sardines feel in those little cans!
We also are realizing that Hong Kong is alot more expensive than we remembered. The exchange rate today is 7.1690 Hong Kong dollars per US dollar. Not too bad I guess.
Nothing very exciting has happened yet around here, but they were looking for a doctor on the flight over, or a nurse or EMT would do the job too. scary... oh oh Boyd has the camera! Eek! Well, I better get going! We will post more from Kunming!
