look at stuff, more like several small villages and temples located in a giant
park like setting with lake and huge mountians to the south of it. We were able
to see several of the minorities in traditional dress and experience a show of
native dance and song. Teh one that really stuck out was one that really reminded
me of a native american pow wow, guests were invited to dance in the circle with them.
No, I did not partake.. We were there about 3 hours and still could have seen adn done more.
We were blessed as we entered and made wishes in the wishing pond to Buddha. We also struck
hmmm does that sound right, the lucky drums.
AFter that we came back to the hotel and went across the street to what was called a
western style restaruant. It was funny.. They try to offer american style food, but the
atmosphere is all Asian. Boyd and I tried the Chicken Burrito! Can you believe it,
Mexican food in China! Actually it was excellant! Kole ate half a plate of fried rice,
plus my cup of cream of corn soup. Kali would have loved that! and then came back to the
hotel to rest. In the afternoon we went for a walk around the Green Lake Park and did some
souvenier shopping. We bought a lucky puppet thing that looks pretty scary, for luck and
properity.
I think I might be going crazy. I am enjoying the taxi rides. With all the weaving in and
out of traffic and bicycles and scooters and horses pulling carts... Kind of interesting
in a sick kind of way..
Tomorrow we are visiting a very prosperous zoo. If there can be one in China.
Now on to Kole. testing testing testing... every second. He is like 5 little 4 year
olds that have never had discipline all rolled up into one. Very tiring, but little
strides each. He is very ornery. Tonight he decided to throw water all over the floor
in the bathroom. This morning he thought it would great fun to aim at Boyd when going
to the bathroom and peed all over
the floor. In weeks to come we will laugh at all the things this very 4 year old boy have
done. As for his palate... He can blow his nose and he can blow and suck on a straw.
