The Three K Kids Updates: It's a brand New Year

It's a new year and boy is it warm for January! We have sunny overly warm weather today. Usually it is cold and frosty by now. We did have our one snow/ice storm in December, but since then, nothing.

Kole has discovered a new found movie that he really enjoys and if he had his way he would have it on replay and sit there all day. Cars. Lightening McQueen has become his new hero and Kole has learned new words like, Spectacular and No, Thank you. The weather is beautiful and Kole is watching Cars, Kali and boyd are playing the play station and Kaci and I just returned from walking the puppy and dog. Mia needs some training. Tasha needs a refresher! Actually Tasha does great without Mia hanging on her and nipping at her during our walk.

School has started back and boys is that a good thing! These kids were at each other's throats being stuck here together with dad for two weeks.

Kole is learning to apologize when he has been mean or has accidentally kicked someone in the head doing his donkey kicks. Most days things go pretty smooth now. We have our moments, but what family doesn't!

Kole has figured out most of the routines and everyone has their chores to do now. kole loves to rinse dishes, so he gets to do that. I think it is the playing in the water thing.

Kaci loves to wipe the table and feed the cat so she get to do that.

Kali feeds the puppy and loads the dishwasher.

They all have to pick up after themselves and get their own breakfast, which we make easy for them.

Kole has to let daddy have empty lap time and let the girls have their daddy's love too and he is getting better about it. But if it lasts longer the 10 seconds Kole's comment is "Not fair!" so we just tell him life isn't fair and he looks at us funny. Kole is also for the most part asking what something means if he doesn't get it. Like, I told him he needed to put Buzz Lightyear away or Mia would chew on him or he could just keep Buzz in sight. He says O.K. goes to run off and stops, looks at me and asks "What sight? I explain it is keeping Buzz where Kole can see him. Well, that is what he did instead of putting Buzz away.
