Independence day weekend

Wow! Where has June gone! It is already July and things are picking up even faster. We have a birthday coming up. Kali will be 10! That's right, my first baby will be a tween! It is so hard to believe. Kole is blossoming each day and occasionally will take a step back. Today he became angry at me for holding him and not just letting him climb on daddy, so he was going to hit me. Well, I told him, that I realize he is angry, but hitting me will not help and if he did hit me he would regret it. He glares at me when I tell him what to do or if Boyd is near he will look at him. Gets annoying. He will learn... Kaci tells him, "Mom is Queen Bee so you need to listen to her". Now he is outside with Boyd, when IN a bit I will be calling him in to pick up his mess in the family room. I am thinking Boyd does a lot for him when I am not looking instead of teaching Kole what needs to be done.

I took the kids to Peoria this weekend to a Families with Children from China meeting for Central Illinois. They had a blast and came out of it with new friends. They really just loved Abby's daughter Nicole. I like her too. Kole really liked her and was talking to her and sitting in Nicole's lap... It was soo cute. I should have taken pictures, but duh, forgot to get the camera out of my purse.

This week was not as hectic as last week. No more dance and tumbling classes to attend. The kids went with their dad to their uncle Brent's this week and played all day while their dad helped to cut down a tree. They were very tired kids.

Last night we attended the local fireworks display in Petersburg. What a great show they put on. Kole was so excited he just jabbered on and on... Then all the fireworks were "Wow! Cool!" All the kids fell asleep on the way home.

Otherwise life goes on. For the holiday I think we will cook out and go for a swim. Otherwise just trying to stay cool.
