This was my 5th Pre-K zoo trip since I had gone with the girls when they wre in pre-K also.
When we arrived the weather was cloudy, cool and no rain. But we had driven through a lot of rain to get there. Our first stop was the Zoo Lab which had some really cool insects. Kole was looking at a Tarantula in this picture
We left the zoo lab and it had stopped raining and we stopped into the petting zoo to see the goats and the alpaca. Kole would not go near the critters! So I had him stand where I could get him and the animals all in the picture then he was ready to go!
We saw some really cool animals through the zoo, and these Red Pandas were so cute I wanted to bring one home. Kole told me I could not have one. I asked Why? and he said that they would not let me. I think he is right.
There were many little exhibits of animals from Asia. I just had to get his picture taken by the sign. Wghat a cheesy smile!
Kole and I also saw the Meerkats, white faced monkeys of some kind, Wallabies, Seals, Otters, and giant Turtles. We saw reindeer and Bald Eagles. Apparently the zoo has one Bald Eagle that can not fly and she is a girl. Well, apparently a male (wild) who can fly, found her and now there are EGGS!!!! How exciting for the zoo! I guess we just sit back and wait to see if the eggs had been fertilized or not.
Afer we saw all the animals we went to the gift shop and bought Kole and the girls something. then we wimped out and headed home. As I mentioned earlier this was my 5th time attending since Kali was in Pre-K and this was the only time it had rained!
That's all for now!
