First full week of Pre-K down

The first full week of Pre-k has come and gone. Kole received happy grams each day. His only re-direction has been when he did not understand was was being asked of him. He has started more of the holding conversations with his cars and them with him... He is learning more about how to play by himself and with children his age. He did get a little rough one day with a little boy in class while they were playing and the teachers let him know that he needed to be gentle. We were seeing signs of things starting to settle in, now a new phase has arisen. The "I am giong to tell you what to do and see if you do it" phase. Such as when his dad tells him it is time for a nap. He mouths back with " I no take a nap. Baba take a nap" Which in turn irritates dad. He tried with me at supper and I just informed him that he was not the boss and if wanted something he will ask, not demand. He also needs to know where everyone is. Whether it is the bathroom, in their room playing or outside or at school. Partof this I believe is he is trying to put it all together and part is just curiosity. Of course it makes his sisters mad when he does his checking up on them. Then he comes to tell me what they are doing. It gets very tiring. I think with rain coming, puzzles will be the key to keeping him busy when we are not reading to him, ,or him playing with his cars.

He really likes Buzz Lightyear. So much so that he demands the video many times a day. I have told him that he does not need to see Buzz lightyear 3 times in a row. Once a day should suffice. We have found the more TV he watches, the more cranky he gets. So when I am home, I am sure that the TV remains off and other activities are done.

More updates later.
