I have been many things to Kole since first meeting him on March 12.
The disciplinarian, the caretaker, the mean lady who won't let me step out of bounds, the nurse, the cook, and the teacher. But today, I was his hero! It was nothing like saving him from choking or anything like that. I put a new tire and inner tube in the old bike we have so he could ride it! His Baba did not have time before going to work, and I knew it would be another week, so, I did it! It has been probably over 20 years since I did that, but I did! Yes, I am proud of myself, and so is my son.
Kole has changed in many ways. We went to an FCC function for Central Illinois and we met with the Big Sibs of the U of I Taiwanese American Student club. They all remembered Kole from April and they were so impressed with how well he is doing with his speech, English and behaviour. Ming remembered that Kole dialed his ex-girlsfriend's phone number on his cell phone! LOL That was such a funny story. We met many wonderful families that will all have a place in our hearts. The students were just too awesome for words. We will miss the students that are there now when they graduate and move on.
Kole is still bringing Happy grams home from Pre-school and this means he is doing as he is told. He is following the rules and listening. hmmm I wonder if the teachers will come here and live with us. I think he turns off his listening ears at home.
He no longer sulks with he is angry or mad. He now decided he will kick walls and furniture and pull his pants down! Jeez.... I come out of the shower to have Boyd tattling on Kole and Boyd is who made him mad. What a zoo! I came out and asked that if he is that angry to go to his room and scream into his pillow and hit it not my walls and furniture. He was then sulky and pouty.
But fine an hour later.
