7 months home

I can't believe seven months has gone by already! It doesn't seem that much time has come and gone.

I noticed some things aout Kole's adjustment. First I heard him calling Boyd Daddy and not Ba or Baba. He is using mama a little more now. He doesnt't seem to act on impulses near as much. Or maybe we are getting used to it...hmmm

He is starting to use full sentences for the first time. We are not as proactive as we could be with that. I know with our first child we wer very meticulous about doing everything the books said you should to boost your child's abilities in language etc... Our second one, well, we tried and we did a lot of it... but with Kole it is almost like we are too tired to deal with most of it and figure it will come.

We do work on what is right and wrong with him and try to work on pronouncing things correctly. Like for Bob the Builder, he says "bob da boe" Well, yesterday, Kaci corrected him and now he says Bob the builder... o.k. cute funny language stuff is fading. He still calls kitty, cutie... which is cute and yes the kitty is a cutie! LOL

He was practicing asking to go to "the restroom", not go poddy....sniff
He is growing up as we had hoped and grasping our world with both hands.

He does like to get a bit snotty and disrespecful at times, but what 4 year old doesn't? He at other times still thinks he is better than everyone else, but why shouldn't he have a high self esteem? Better that , then hating himself...

He comes to me with headaches and owies. Not his baba.. Of course, baba blows him off like there is nothing wrong and I will give him a small dose of Tylenol, ,a bandaid, if required and blow the owy away. Not once has he told me his head was owy and lied to me. You can see it in his face just like you can the girls when they have a headache. Now, little scratches we give a kiss and blow the sting away and all is better. Of course bad owies, which he hasn't had many, require the bottle of hydorgen peroxide and ointment and bandaids... He likes that time.

He is interested in all aspects of body parts and the differences between the girls, myself and him. (smile) We introduced him to Miss America pageant... mistake! He was extremely interested in the chest area and the balls they kept in there...LOL Guess that starts very young and doesn't matter what country you are from!

Kole is doing great in school. He can almost write his whole name. The Pre-K is amazed that he can write a K so easily. He can do all but the e at the end. Next year he will work more on the last name. He brings home happy grams each day which means he has not broken any cardinal Pre-K rules. Boyd is going on Tuesday to assist in the Pre-K and Kole thinks he is coming to help him only. (smile). He will have to be reminded that Daddy is there to help the teachers, not Kole. Daddy is not so happy that I mentioned he wasn't working in the mornings and could probably help stuff story sacks. I guess Boyd doesn't understand that this is stuff you don't get to do all the time and I would LOVE to do it, but I am working full time. I am going to take one day off and go in and help and read to the class.

I was trying to think if there were any other great things happening, but can't think of any. Maybe I will get some new pics to add today.
