Updates during this busy season

It has been awhile since I updated the blog. Kole is doing well. He is, of course, getting in trouble with his mouth. He shows Boyd no respect and back talks him when ever possible. He has found out this weekend that it is inappropriate and it will not be tolerated. If he has a reason to disagree, fine, put it out for us to hear and we can make educated guesses from there.
But, he does not, he tries to boss everyone in the house and just doesn't understand why he can't be the boss. I know some will find this very amusing, and we may too in years to come, but at this time, for us it is not. Time outs do not work anymore, so now it is removing favorite toys or a swat on the bottom. Yes, I said a swat. That means one, just to get his attention. The more tired he is the worse he becomes.

Well on to more fun stuff. Kole did perform in his first Pre-K Christmas program. If he didn't know the words, he moved his mouth as if he did and he did all the finger plays. And for the first time ever (two years of Prek with Kali, two years with Kaci and now one with Kole), we were in the front row! YEAH!!! We actually were able to take pictures and video tape.

On to the puppy nose, Princess Mia. She is growing by leaps and bounds. She is no longer our 5 pound little puppy. She is now a whopping 15 pounds and is full of energy. Mia and Tasha have been getting along great!

Kali and Kaci are doing well. They had their first Christmas program at church. I forgot my camera for that one. They both did fabulous! The whole Choir did a wonderful job! Kole was a fidget pants through the whole thing.

Kali had her Chirstmas Band concert and the badn did a wonderful job. I ran into some friends and their daughter took over Kole and Kaci so I could enjoy the 5th grade band concert.

We have been busy with violin lessons, piano lessons, Christmas preparations, working and just trying to keep up. The heat is out in the van, so now, we had no air conditioning the the summer (will cost almost $1000 to fix) and now, no heat in the winter. Just our luck! It will cost a minimum of $230 to fix it, if it is the cheap problem. But could be more. Boyd thought he could do it, but after looking at what has to be done, he would never get it done in one day. So after Christmas I will be calling around to get it fixed. Keep you fingers crossed that it is the cheap fix!

So far everyone has been well. We push the oranges this time of year and it seems to do the trick!

Oh, We had our 9 month post placement with Kole and all is well. We attended the Holiday party afterward where all the kids sat on Santa's lap and told him what they wanted for Christmas. Even Kole. There was one little boy who was scared so, grabbed onto Kole's hand. Kole pulled his away and then when we explained the little boy was scared, then Kole held his hand again.

Below we have Kole with friend, Kaci with SAnta, Kole with Santa and Kali with Santa

That's all for now!
