We have been home two weeks today. Kole has adjusted well in so many ways. We are adjusting also. The girls are adjusting to having a brother around. Kali still needs to lock the bathroom door if she doesn't want company and I think modesty to close the door will come to Kaci some day. Kole has learned to come out of the bedroom in the morning when he wakes up instead of waiting for someone to come and get him. I think he figured out that it gets very busy on weekday mornings and we would leave him to sleep until the things quiet down before checking on him. He actually likes to be in the middle of the morning chaos. We found that he really does not like tomato products.. His referral information said he does. Maybe they meant potato since he does like anything with potato.
we have learned that he is amidextrous (sp?) He can use chopsticks either right handed or left handed.
He loves having little pancakes (frozen ones heated in the micro) and scrambled eggs for breakfast. But his favorite food of all is cookies!
He is becoming more touchy with me in a nice way. He loves to come and tell me about anything that has excited him. Of course most the time I haven't got clue, but will smile right a long and play like I understand. Bad me.... but why frustrate him any more than we have to.
I have included a couple pictures of Kole doing his favorite things that were meant for the last post, but it didn't work right.
Last night we went to a parent training meeting and I put all three kids in the babysitting. Kole did great with the exception of wanting to pull the fire alarm. Kali caught him and told him no. Whew! Mr. O was really glad that Kali stopped him.
More updates later!
